Altar Servers Schedule Altar servers of the parish assist the priest and the whole worshipping community in the prayerful celebration of the Eucharist. Altar servers function as Cross Bearers and Acolytes, assisting the presider and other liturgical ministers with the sacred vessels, the presentation of the gifts and the use of the Sacramentary. Open to boys and girls from the 4th grade and up, it provides an opportunity for young people to offer service and to be more active in their participation in Mass. We welcome all young people to consider this opportunity. Additional information can be obtained by calling the rectory office.
Boy Scouts A program for boys 11 through 17 designed to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of adult leadership. Contact Tom 270-2014.
Cub Scouts A family- and home-centered program for boys in the second through fifth grade (or 8, 9, and 10 years old). The Tiger Cub program is for first grade (or age 7) boys and their adult partners. Contact Cub scout pack 544 516-873-1413
CYO Basketball The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is committed to providing a ministry of information that helps bring youth to human potential. The CYO provides opportunities for young people to develop strong moral character, self-esteem and leadership qualities through activities of a social and athletic nature. The CYO organizes athletic competition in a variety of sports for both boys and girls. Further inquiries can be made at the rectory office for the names of the appropriate contact people.
Girl Scouts A program for girls 5 thru 17 years old. Girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment. Girl Scouts are divided into Daisy Girl Scouts (ages 5-6), Brownie Girl Scouts (ages 6-8), Junior Girl Scouts (ages 8-11), and Senior Girl Scouts for girls ages 11-17. Contact Pat 718-343-6315
